I am attempting to release http://brokenbat.org/player/217975[/url] however, the release button seems to be dead for him and only him. Has anyone ever seen this?

This is probably due to release restrictions.

For new team owners, there is a restriction on releasing players above a certain quality. This is done to protect the new owner from making serious mistakes while starting out. It is also designed to prevent others from acting nefariously.

You'll be able to release him after you have had the team for 30 days.

Its frustrating for a new owner, because you want to work your roster and hopefully get better players. But the rule is there for good reasons.

I agree with you when you want to do a complete overhaul. I did make one mistake when I first started and was able to release this guy http://brokenbat.org/player/202558 because he was still a minor. After I realized what I did, which was after he was picked up his current club, I was wishing it would have applied to the minors as well. Live and learn from my mistake lol

@gunnar, The rule also applies to players in the minors as well. You were able to release Pedraza because you joined on 1/5/20. Pedraza was cut on 2/21/20, which is more than 30 days, so your release restrictions were gone. That's why it didn't apply to him.
