afreespirit Joined: 09/17/2011 Posts: 305 Inactive	Does anyone have an idea of how the pinch runner mechanism might work? This situation screams out for a pinch runner. Top 8th: Burlington Pascual takes the mound to pitch. McFadden lines out to right field. Wade hits a double to right field. Hensley hits a ground ball single through to center field. Wade advances to third base. Vasquez comes in to pitch. Schwartz comes in to pinch hit for Paz. Schwartz flies out to left field. Wade holds at third base. Lee comes in to pitch. Hampton flies out to right field. Burlington 2, College Station 0 Wade has speed of 5 so he really doesn't go anywhere (he is checked off for pinch run, and base running is --). I have a 19 speed on the bench and an insurance run would be really nice this late in the game. We ended up winning (finally!) 2-1 but if I were the manager, pinch running in this situation is a no-brainer. Updated Wednesday, March 18 2020 @ 4:25:55 pm PDT
