I feel like this is at least the third year in a row that my players in the low minors play LIGHTS OUT in Spring Training. But I know it's a trap. I know bringing them up early and letting them get some reps in the majors is a bad idea.... Don't I? I mean, maybe this year is different. Maybe it's for real this time...

Yeah, you're right. I should just let them keep developing in the minors, despite hitting nearly .400 in the spring. Yeah, those 9 scoreless innings pitched mean nothing...

Take a look at the competition they're playing against. I always almost exclusively have minor leaguers on my spring rosters.

For what it's worth,
I am NOT happy about my teams 13-5 spring record so far. It is pointing out my minor league flaws... 1. Not enough lower level talent. 2. A log jam of mediocre AAA players.

I feel like the organization is healthier when it is winning .400 to .500 in spring training.
