One could definitely make a worse pick in Round 8. Still, with no hitting comment, he'll probably get tossed. BC and PD should be nice, as well as power. Might be an OK second baseman for a LLVI despite the low Hitting.

Due to the unpredictability I usually avoid Latin America - this is my first LA pick since the same round four seasons ago - but there were 777 players available from that pool when I picked, 7 is my lucky number, and at this stage chances are you'll get garbage regardless.

As is, a 12 POT 16-yo 3B/C prospect with a positive hitting comment is pretty decent. He may stick around.

Aramis Vazquez just might stick around for a while, or at least long enough to see if he’s more promising than my other catching prospects.

Doug Ruthledge is an example of complete luck in the draft. I can't complain about a POT 15 pitcher even with him being underdeveloped at this point in the draft.

@TPS: Woooow. That Ruthledge pick is suuuuper fun for the eighth round. Hopefully he gains at least six to seven SI per season for you. May be a late bloomer, but still, fun!

11 POT which is generally considered trash, but with his low speed and average Range/Arm, he can have an interesting build:

13/13/13/13
or
15/10/10/14
etc

But he'll probably be an easy cut at some point.

The fact that Ruthledge is already in A is a very good sign.
