Gastonia was, indeed, one of the two. The last eight years for them have been 73-69-71-82-66-60-75-85.
The other team, who happens to have my favorite logo, is the Brooklyn Warlocks. They've gone 72-88-95-91-97-61-82-92.

I'm pumped to provide the next trivia question. These two teams deserve major kudos. Let's see if you can figure out who they are.

What two Top 200 teams have improved more than 300 spots over the last two years and more than 500 spots over the last four years? Yes, you read that right!

Since this is another impossible question, I'll give a couple of clues. Neither is in the Top 100. Both are in West divisions; one is legitimately west in location in the contiguous U.S., while the other is barely west of the Mississippi River. (Sorry for those geographically challenged, especially non-Americans. It was the best I could come up with.) And by all means check out the current rankings to help your guesses. Good luck naming the massive climbers!

Nothing is Impossible! Especially in Corvallis (Home of Oregon State and the Ravens) and Little Rock (home of the Twisters, Travelers, Razorbacks or Owls)

I wanted to be like the oklahoma sooners, in the top 25 forever, but i had a bad season that dropped me to 41, and a good season that had me at 9th (which wasn't my highest, 8th in 2022.)

I've got one for you. What team promoted with a .500 record? maybe more than one, but i found one anyway.

I’ve only got two-and-a-half seasons of experience so far, but after watching Little Rock double-promote after running roughshod over VI.7 in 2030 and then annihilating V.4 in 2031, I would not be at all surprised if Hatleyville has one of the teams to improve rank by 300 in the past two seasons.

Corvallis and Little Rock. Maybe North El Dorado can be counted because of the generic city.

I'm definitely proud of taking my team and launching them up to LLIV. Last season was a bit more humbling and a remind that the hard work of getting to III and above involves a much tougher learning curve and a fair amount of luck. Looking forward to it though!

I got tied up with other things over the last week. Corvallis and Little Rock were the correct answers.

Now to the presentation of the data points I gathered from the last several seasons. I got all the info for the current top 200 teams going back to 2024 season's end. Realizing I was running out of time before this season would start, I looked at every other team from 201-250 and continued to space them out even more until the final couple hundred were 3 out of every 10.

The only dramatic changes were at the very top, which really wasn't surprising since those are the biggest numbers. From 2031 to 2024 they went 457, 518, 483, 507, 472, 497, 464 and 542. All over the place.

For the rest of the data points, I'm going to simplify it to just 2031-2029-2027-2025 years, so there aren't a massive amount of numbers. Here they are:

Team Rank, Ratings for 2031-2029-2027-2025
25, 248-257-266-269
50, 213-220-221-227
75, 191-187-192-195
100, 174-171-166-175
125, 161-157-152-161
150, 146-142-144-141
200, 128-124-124-123
250, 114-108-112-109
300, 98- 96- 96- 95
350, 88- 87- 87- 84
400, 76- 78- 77- 77
450, 68- 68- 69- 68
500, 60- 61- 59- 60
550, 54- 54- 53- 54
600, 47- 48- 47- 45
650, 40- 41- 41- 40
700, 37- 38- 31- 33

This appears to give credence to the theory of parity. Top teams ratings are consistently falling a bit.

Thanks for posting that Mike!

I agree Tiger, but interestingly the 400-650 teams stay almost the same seeming to mean that while the top half appear to be getting more compact overall, the bottom half are not really making up the ground. On the other hand the 750 team (meaning the bottom 25 or so) appear to actually be getting steadily worse, which is impressive considering what Bilbo_Shaggins did to a team right around that time. Pretty interesting trends imo.

Thanks again Mike for carrying out the project that I was too lazy to do (though I also spent 22 of the last 72 hours driving and most of the rest busy).
