Tom Davis a 37 year old 11 potential DH who used to play for me, is still playing, and pretty well to. He's in my top 5 in homeruns.

@Rock I like your throwback mascot.

He might be dropped considering he lost a chunk of SI, is not performing well thus far, and his replacement will promote any week now, but he is a bit of an experiment for now at least.

If a player only loses about 10 off the peak SI by the time they reach 35, there's a good chance they're still going to out-perform other options if they were a superstar in their prime.

Waaaaay back when I was a newbie I kept this guy for 1/3 of his age 36 season. He was probably an average league V pitcher, but I had only picked him up as a temporary fill-in the year before.

Just saw this guy

He just now released him and he was 40. He retired as soon as they released him but 40. I've never seen anything like that

Yeah, that guy definitely does not count - he was only in because poor bot management and not like he was actually good. Yes, he got an All-Star appearance at age 36, but still

This guy. I released him when he was 34 and he's still toiling in LL V several seasons later as a left handed set. Not too poorly I might add although age has started to ravage him.

The experiment is over here, Howard wasn't off to a good start, and Boyd decided to promote from aaa. I wouldn't rule out another experiment in the future though!

Do your guys stay healthy?

I'm having a hard time keeping Hardy on the field (3rd double digit injury this season).

If he's still making 5+ next season, it could be tough keeping him around.
