Solid P. 13 POT and a solid scouting report.

Looked at scouting report, got hyped, received a 12 potential, cried, realized he is not that bad and can play LF.

Picked up my second 14 pot ever. With that range and arm, I'm hoping he can get enough fielding to compete at 3rd. Otherwise he'll be great in RF. http://brokenbat.org/player/144031

@ephenssta - Blackwell has "outstanding" fielding which means he'll reach 15-17 fielding if he develops properly. Taking the max of those would give him fielding/range/arm of 17/18/17, which means he could play pretty much any defensive position, and SS ideally. 2B and 3B would be options after that, but given his elite defensive skills and average bat I'd train him for SS first and foremost.

@amalric7

Thanks for that feedback! I'll definitely look into that. I'm still learning what to train people for based on scouting reports and whatnot.

Could've been miles better. I'll work on him for a bit and if he isn't looking good he'll be cut.

I would love a Blackwell on my team, thanks much. Seriously, that's an SS in the making right there.

I'm just learning exactly the same thing re: where best to put guys. This forum thread might be helpful to you. I take no credit for the info in that thread--I just asked the question.

 Early impressions of Lee from his first few Spring Training games: …Yep, he’ll do.

If he was a lefty, he'd be great at first. As it is, he'll probably battle to be a DH, except against lefties where he'll catch the balls from the other infielders.

Yeah, I've switched Blackwell over to SS. Some people linked a few forum threads and I learned a lot about game mechanics. So unless something crazy happens, I'll plan on him becoming my SS.
