Minor League Player of the Year - Don Amato, CF/1B, A

13 HR, 85 RBI, .288 BA, 112 R, 13 SB

This is his second time winning the award, when he first won in 2025. He was also a close runner-up last year, when Omar Ponce won the award. Amato looks to enter AA ball as a 21-year-old next season.

Minor League Cy Young Award - Caesar Becerra, RHP, AA/AAA

11-5, 7 S, 3.81 ERA, 85 K in 56 appearances (10 starts)

This was unprecedented as there are more highly ranked pitchers in our system, but Becerra won the award due to his lower ERA and high win count. Becerra is expected to start 2028 in AAA but could see a call-up anytime now.

Minors Player of the Year goes to first baseman Jackson Guest and his terrific .348/.396/.448 triple-slash line along with 23 stolen bases.

Minors CY winner is Donnell Mills, who posted a 2.76 FIP in AA. Not a ton of strikeouts, but he's got good control with lots of groundouts.

Both of my minor league top players played in rookie ball. This makes sense since I took over an abandoned team late last season and needed to start building a decent minor league system.

OF Alberto Corona was my top offensive player. He finished the year with a .326 average, 15 Home Runs, 89 RBI, 103 runs and an .842 OPS.

P Ryan Saunders was my top pitcher. He was 11-11-3 with a 4.07 ERA and 142 strikeouts.

Both these guys should be able to contribute in the majors some day.

"Sunny" Pat Kramer batted .314/.495/.873 in AA. Not sure why he's not in AAA. Probably because he was promoted so early by previous owners.

Santiago Zavala threw 211 1/3 innings in A and struck out 184 with a 2.85 ERA
Another player who was promoted way too early

Pitcher is an easy choice, as Shields had a great year in AAA. He'll be 25 next season but he isn'tready yeat, i'll leave him another 3-4 updates in the minors.

Choosing hitter of the year is tough, no one has played well (Team OPS .710 , in fact i am a little worried for the lack of power).

Maybe Mondragon had a good season in AA, adding SB and Outfield assist, but he's 24 and promoted in AAA last update, will need all next season in the minors if he want to reach his cap.

I'll give Sherman Jorgensen my minors PotY. He hit .338/.377/.513 with 24 XBH, not bad for a 4th round pick just this year. Not sure where he fits eventually, maybe 2B or 3B and if not DH (or righty 1B?).

Pitcher of the Year has to be Claudio Alcantar. A guy plucked from the FA pool in February posted a 3.50 ERA (3.86 FIP) over 136.1 innings. He doesn't give up many homers and he's progressing well - 32 points in just over three seasons (since being a 5th rounder in 2024), and he'll only be 22 next year. Which is all good, because I need all the pitching help I can get.

It has been several seasons since I last did this, but seeing as I'm bored and it could be fun...

Oscar Schubert wins the Raleigh minor league player of the year award for the position players. He hit .323 in 496 ABs at A ball this season, with 24 HRs and 104 RBI before being promoted to AA at the 9th training update. Although he is behind in his development and will spend much if not all of his age 25 season at AA, he looks to play a prominent role when he finally reaches the majors likely in two seasons.

The minor league pitching player of the year award was far more difficult. Ultimately the organization declared co-winners of the award for 2027: Dan Allen, Luis Rosa, George Sawyer, and Seung Hyun Lee.

Newtman commented on the decision: "I think it reflects the depth of the pitching in our organization that we named four pitchers co-winners of the minor league pitching award."

Although Rosa and Sawyer are considered top prospects, Allen's exemplary season in A highlights how the Raleigh organization's free agent signings contribute to the success of the organization as a whole.

"Allen is a guy who people look at and scratch their heads why we picked him up, but his devastating changeup is the cause of those great numbers in A ball, and we expect him to be as effective as Cardona and Gray have been for us." said manager Larry Niwa.

The Catfish' Minor League Hitter of the Year is a tough call to decide between Hot Rod High and Mitchell Robinson. I decided to go with Mitchell Robinson by way of league level. Robinson had a strong tenure in AA, hitting .285/.437/.456 in 305 at bats, with 11 home runs to supplement him, but with a trip to AAA, he did even better, getting splits of .333/.400/.556 with 4 home runs. The 22 year old should have a long future with the Catfish, picking up where Carreras leaves off.

For pitching, it's odd, but I'm going to go with Oscar Estrada. only 34 K to 17 BB in 78 2/3 IP, but a 2.40 ERA and opponents hitting .207 against him is very good. He's going to be in the Majors next season, regardless of progress, as this was his age 25 season, and there will most likely be room for him then.
