I have a player who went from $4.25 million this past year to $10.60 million in value, and did not even finish in the top 5 for mvp of the league. How can this be? His player name and number is #22 - Rafael Orozco [ID #758]
thanks ron

thats quite expensive but his stats are also quit impressive. I mean a statline of .358/.415/.630 blows you away.
My MVP-Batter went .309/.397/.632 and his salary went up to 8.3 million.

I must agree that the stats are impressive, but he did not even finish in the top "5" for MVP voting in the league MVP race, check out the league stats, my team is in the legend's league, my team is ranked #4 in top teams, go to 2010 stats and see he did not even merit consideration for MVP. His price rising over $6 million dollars and no MVP consideration seems a bit of a reach, then what are the factors that go into being the MVP?

he was not in the top10 of SB or HR - so normally no chance (in broken bat) to become MVP

Player salaries are based on statistics from the previous several years, not particularly on awards (all-star, MVPs etc.). Also, what league level you're at. ~$10M means he's one of the best players in a top league.

BTW, he did win the MVP two season ago when he had 42 HR's. Player Link: "Cobra" Rafael Orozco
