Post tittle says Draft #4, but the player’s page says: Drafted round 5 by… Then is it Draft #4 or Draft #5?

Five. If you do what's right and move draft ten to the first day of the new season, which I specifically asked if I should do and was told no by some either not nice or dumb forum posters

I was in Europe visiting family this past week. Went International pool for the first time thinking it might be fated.

Won't be dipping in that pool again for a long while.

I'm tired of drafting "good" 11 potential players. The scouting reports are too vague and misleading. Why anyone likes rewarding pure dumb luck is beyond me.

This time around I only got 1 pitcher with "He will always be wild" scouting report. So I had to pick a hitter.

None of them looked good, so I made a gamble for a future DH, picked up this guy.

Can any of you more experienced managers give me ia hint? I suppose he's a keeper, he could be a good DH/catcher even with that low potential, as skill points should go into hitting and power.

He will not walk a lot, but he should be a decent catcher.
If you don't have better prospect at C, he looks like a keeper to me.

MukilteoMike - Rios was good. Low stamina, reasonable defensive stats, and a couple nice scouted ratings. If you picked up a "Good" POT 12 he would have had more stamina or defensive ratings.

Your last draft pick looked even better (and a POT 12), but I see you considered him underdeveloped.

The problem is you are looking for Very Good right now and they don't show up so often. I haven't kept a draft pick all season.

Rock, I think you must have looked at a guy I picked up on waivers; my last three draftees were all 11 potential guys. Relievers need to be more than borderline guys to not get cut. I'm not going to spend four years on a marginal arm hoping he can be a specialist.

Oh yeah you picked him up on waivers and then dropped him right away.

I'm not arguing that you shouldn't have dropped him. Just saying that is a "Good" player. And at this point in your game you really want "Very Good" players. A "Good" 12 isn't going to be any better than a "Good" 11.
