I don't think it has happened before but is there any chance of getting someone with this high of a potential even if it is a one in a million odds or something?

The highest I have ever seen is 17, I think.

If I was an optimist, I'd say a player has a 1 in 50 chance of exceeding 19.55 in a skill. Take that to the eighth power and you get something like 1 in 39,000,000,000,000 that a player would have that across the board. Good luck!

Haha, umm... for all intents and purposes, I'm going to say it is not possible. I think the odds are even more steep than the previously mentioned 50 to 1. (Even Mike said those were generous odds.)

Your odds are greater to win the powerball or Mega Millions

Alright, just did some research.

I looked up all the players with 20 in range, arm, and speed becuase those numbers are basically set in stone when the player is drafted. Here is what I came up with

20 speed: 92
20 range: 70
20 arm: 72
Average: 78

So, the odds of getting a player with ONE stat of 20+ (Assuming proper development) is approximately 1 in (78*8)/(# of hitters in the entire game).

I estimated rather crudely that there are 50000 players in the game. I could use a better total number. But using 50,000 players, I calculate the odds in being about 1 in 80. So by my count, the odds of getting 20s in all categories for a hitter is 1 in 80^8 or 1 in 1,677,721,600,000,000.

Good luck with that. :)

So you're saying there's a chance

Probably about the same chance as the Earth's gravitational pull changing and the Moon slamming into the Earth killing us all... in other words, no chance.

Im sure my numbers are off in one way or another. But, with no math involved, its 1 in a REALLY BIG NUMBER. Even if my calculations are erronous, whenever quadrillions are present, you have yourself a big a** number.
