If you corkscrew yourself into the ground, it was a changeup. If it looks like you were a couple tenths of an inch from murdering the ball, it was a curveball. If you're heading back to the dugout contemplating how unfair this game is, it was a cutter. If you're looking down at the divot the ball made, three inches in front of the plate, it was a sinker/splitter. If you looked and felt totally stupid after the swing, it was a slider. If you look back at the guys in the dugout, shake your head and chuckle, it was a knuckleball.
