I'd guess he ends up being a 220 hitter, but an OBP machine with very few Ks. If his hit tool was at 1 I'd probably cut him, but at 8 now he might get to 12 despite the report. | ||

I'm still trying to figure out what the "good" and "great" descriptor's mean, so it's nice to get an idea what the scouting reports are saying. A .220 hitter with a decent OBP and some homers with speed would be pretty nice. If my understanding is right, he's got some 60 or so points of improvement possible, and those will spread between 4 skills roughly. That'll nearly max the bat control, discipline, fielding out, and probably like a 75/25 split power/hit? Updated Friday, February 13 2015 @ 2:01:19 pm PST |

If brought up propery id imagine his peak skills to look something like: Hitting: 10 Bat Control: 11 Plate Discipline: 11 Power: 12 Speed: 18 Fielding: 15 Range: 18 Arm: 18 Updated Friday, February 13 2015 @ 2:10:56 pm PST |

Outstanding in the field also is typically seen with 15-17 fielding potential. Thus I would go with jdick's prediction with the following modifications: Hitting: 8 (seriously don't see that rising any) Fielding: 16 |

However redoing my math puts his stats closer to jdick's, though his are a little low. He has about 35-40 si to be gained. Regardless he is going to be a great defender, but yeah the stick is going to leave you wanting. |

Fielding is most important for the IF due to the sheer number of chances and higher possible error rate. Forgot, you definitely should try to have a 15+ arm at catcher if possible, though fielding and range are both unnecessary at the position. Updated Saturday, February 14 2015 @ 10:46:42 am PST |
