Good Surprise:
Nathan Logan http://brokenbat.org/player/64846
13 Hitting, 9 plate discipline, but became an everyday player in 2019 because of his glove at shortstop. Surprised me a little then by hitting 22 home runs and driving in 100 runs while hitting .250 with 24 steals. I figured it was a career year. Then he followed it up by going .282 with a .343 on-base percentage, 27 home runs, 39 stolen bases and 100 RBI again in 2020 and getting an all-star selection.
I'm figuring he'll stay at short for a while because of fielding and his ability to hit for decent power, but his average will likely float down to .250 again or lower. Unless I get surprised again. If not, still not a bad shortstop to have playing everyday.

Bad Surprise:
Pretty much my whole darn pitching staff except for maybe three guys: http://brokenbat.org/statistics/662

My surprise was starting pitcher Lloyd Barton. He went from 9-17 to 21-7 2.85 and won the league Cy Young award. I figured he would do better but not that much better.
