Wondered if there was specific criteria that determines rookie status / eligibility for rookie player or pitcher of the year? Clearly a player with no major league experience would be a rookie. But is there a certain number of games / at bats / innings pitched a player can have in their first season and still be considered a rookie in their second? |

admin Joined: 01/27/2010 Posts: 4981 Administrator | It's a little complicated, but basically he can only have played 30% or less of the prior season to be eligible as a rookie next season (assuming he plays the full season in his rookie year). Steve |
