I suspect I have one of those "exceptions" but being that I've never deviated from the games advice I'm curious for others view. The player is Arocha, id#199115, he is 24 years old, spent 3 seasons as a rookie, and he's spent 6 seasons between single A and double AA. He is still in AA. I'm wondering if this is a good candidate for disregarding the computer's advice and that maybe I should go ahead and move him to AAA without the recommendation? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Even when it is excruciatingly slow. I have a few of those guys on my team as well. It's just a fact of life they won't be fully developed until age 27 and you have to incorporate that into your talent evaluation. So no, I don't think you should promote that guy. I start ignoring the AI for majors recommendations only. I keep a lot of guys down longer, even if the AI says go to majors. I like 1.5 seasons in AAA regardless. |

He seems to be a bit behind the dev curve. He almost certainly won't able able to maximize his time in the minors, so its probably just a guessing game. The AI recommendations are fuzzy, so they aren't 100% correct. This guy looks close to getting the nod, but you'll never see when he hits 25. You could gamble he is actually ready, or you can gamble with the AI recommendation. Either way is a gamble. I would just follow your gut at this point. It probably won't make a huge difference one way or the other. If you don't bring him up now, I'd definitely bring him up to AAA for spring.
