is that an indicator that the game AI thinks i should cut the player?

I have a 25 year old 2b, Vega, who looks like a marginal prospect...there are players ahead of him on the major roster that are 28 or younger, so he isn't in the starting lineup for spring...

ok, but he should get some pinch hit/sub-in chances, right? yet Vega is not getting at bats in spring training--instead, younger less experienced are getting the call

so does that say the AI thinks I should cut Vega?

The AI always gives preference to younger players during spring training. If you want a player to get ABs the best thing to do is put him in the lineup.

Also, I would never rely on the AI for cut recommendations. The AI does and adequate, but poor job of running teams.

Looks like a pretty decent prospect to me. Great power numbers in the minors. BC and PD seem to be filling in nicely. Would be average to above average as a defender at 3B. Only knock is that the hitting scout is only "good".
