It’s just for young players who maybe aren’t quite as developed. A players true value is determined by a combination of their potential, where the bulk of their skills are already deployed (also called their “build”), and what the wording in their scouting report hints as to where their additional skills will be gained IF they are developed correctly. And, lastly, luck/random chance. Just click roster->reassign players to let the AI suggest what level to set your players at. They will gain the most experience there. The only exception is deciding when to move them from AAA to the majors, where you can wait and let them linger in AAA a bit longer. but don’t worry about that yet, it has more to do with whether you’re competing or developing a team. Also click “help” and read the manual another time or two. It’s good to ask questions but you want to try and absorb some of the main points too so it’s not always necessary to ask for every move you’re considering. |
