wuggla Joined: 05/10/2013 Posts: 1059 Colorado Springs Vultures VI.28	A few things I use in scouting new era draft player. 1 his age 16-19 rookie or Aball,19-22 Aball-AAball,22-25 AAball-AAAball. 2 his skill indexing 65-80SI is rookie,75-85 Aball, 80-95 AAball,90-105 AAAball. 3 his position rights at C,SS,2B,3B min range 12-20 min arm 12-20 field scouting above avg. 4 his amateur/over sea's stats. Good stat line bavg .250 OBP .275 SLG .350 good OPS range between .650-1.000 5 his Potential above avg, good, very good this takes patients. Minimum and Maximum can be off by at least 2. Some say hide this until we choose a player. I kinda agree. But we see it so I go for this. Pot between 10-12 above avg, 12-14 good, 13-15 very good. 6 new idea for Potential exceptional lvl player pot14-17 added into scouting reports. """ Please ADD Opinions """

gocubs16 Joined: 01/07/2020 Posts: 116 Inactive	well i usually also with that is what postions do i need for example say you need pitching then i look for pitching or need help at second or short then get a second baseman that can play short as well or just get the position play that plays that position.

Rock777 Joined: 09/21/2014 Posts: 9601 Haverhill Halflings III.1	Be careful about playing a guy at 2B just because he knows the position. You want him to have good fielding and range as well as position knowledge. You can train minor league players in new positions that better match their skills. Check out some of the threads in this post for more info.

If he is learning 3-6SI at his lvl in a season he is avg 4-8SI is good. Learning 5SI at his lvl in season he staying on team. The round he is drafted in has a part also. In new draft the minor seasons end in round 8 of draft; so I get 4th round he gains 3SI he is learning. A 1st round player who only gained 2SI I think he is stunt and could get cut.
