One of my favorite and all around best players last year is Quinones, ID # 181952, He is proficient in 2B, 3B, and SS and has a defensive profile of 17-12-14. Where do you folks think he'll be best suited for? My guess is 3rd, but I'm curious to see what others think and why? Thanks gang!

3B all the way. His range isn't good enough for the middle. Bayer has no business playing the infield anyway. Bayer is OF all the way, but I'm doubtful he'll ever produce much at the plate.

But holy smokes! What do you do to draft the guys you do? What the heck?! Since 2041 your best guys are 14, 14, 14, 13, 13, 14, 13, 14, 16, 14, 15, 13, 13, 13. The best I've seen by a wide, wide margin.

I agree that 3B is the best fit for his defensive build.

Depending on your personnel situation, I could imagine playing him in the middle in-field and just living with his shortcomings, though.

Thanks guys. I wish i could take some kind of credit for my draft choices, but i guess it's the luck of the draw. I'm still stuck in League six though-in a word, pitching. I'm working on that... Quite a few of those guys potentials though, the 16 and some others, have been brought down a level in future reports. My 16 is now a 15, a couple 14 went to 13, and so on. Interestingly, my best offensive player over the past 3 seasons has been a 12 Potential. He hit .315/99R/37HR/124RBI last year to receive an All League award. I still don't completely understand how a guy like him, with his modestly decent hitting skills - 18 Hit/8 BC/7 PD/15 Power - can be my best offensive player.

Well, you'll sometimes see owners on the message board comment that hitting is the most important offensive skill, and I think it really is. Your guy has a really good hitting stat, which helps. Beyond that, some guys just hit better or worse than their stats would predict.
