michaeltodd2 Joined: 02/20/2018 Posts: 325 Paradise Valley Cubs II.2	So on draft day, when i'm given a list of 10 players to choose from, their potentials are what, just a guess? Is there a way to decipher a players true potential...tea leaves to read, so to speak? If so, what kind of clues do i look for?

Rock777 Joined: 09/21/2014 Posts: 9600 Haverhill Halflings III.1	Their potential is a guess in the same way their Range and their Arm ratings are guesses. Not always 100% accurate, but presumably pretty close to the real thing.

Geech Joined: 01/12/2014 Posts: 545 San Luis Obispo Turtles IV.8	I think there's some possibility of reading the tea leaves, as you say, by closely examining the scouting report and comparing that to the potential. It's uncertain because some skill don't show up, and it's a lot to do for a whole draft board, though.

Rock777 Joined: 09/21/2014 Posts: 9600 Haverhill Halflings III.1	I think the change is really going to help a lot of people who currently rely to much on POT. POT is somewhat meaningless by itself. You need to look at the scouting report, ratings, and stats. If people feel compelled to actually evaluate players, they will probably do a lot better in the game.
