Broken Bat Baseball
hey guys,
I have a player that I quite sure had 16 pot and decreased to 15. I have seen a thread before about players that increased their pot.

Can someone explain me how it works? when it happens? how often it happens? and finally if player can decrease pot too or it's just my memory let me wrong.

Potential shown on the player's card is fuzzy now, not a definite, certain, number.
It may, or may not, change.
It's a new concept, integrated in the game along with the Draft reform of 2041.
Fuzzy potential affects newborn players since the draft of 2040.
It does not affect players born in 2039 and earlier.

First of all thank you very much.
What you said- is related too to the new thing that is written in the maunual- about uncertainty on players' skills?

cannot answer this question, unless you provide an excerpt of the text.
There are several instances of "innacurate skill" in this game.
And we, users, are not even in agreement among us to which are more relevant.

Here, look at that from the game manual:

I see.
This sentence has been there since I joined the game.
Everybody here has a different take to what it means.
That's part of the game, imperfect knowledge.

The Draft reform of 2041 is another matter entirely.
Its scope and consequences we still need to gauge.
Fuzzy potential of prospects may, or may not, be related to that paragraph in the Rule book.
We just don't know.
