Hi all,

Most of us know that for pitchers, pitching ratings are worth 1.25 SI and fielding ratings are worth 0.50 SI, and for position players, both hitting and fielding ratings are worth 1 SI.

We know and accept this. But every time I look at my pitchers and position players, I ask myself *why* that actually is. Does anyone understand why Steve made it that way? Why do pitching ratings eat up so much more SI for pitchers than batting ratings do for batters?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think the idea was that fielding ratings are very unimportant for pitchers.
