| Just confirming whether this aplies to the batter trying to hit into the gap in the field or the runner taking off as the pitch is thrown. | ||

| i've wondered the same thing, i assume it's when they send the runner on base and the pitcher tries to hit the ball in play to move the runner up farther than they normally can go. | ||

| I don't need an explanation of the hit & run http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hit_and_run_(baseball) but rather i need to understand when i am managing the hit&run field for a player on the management screen; in which of the two roles is the player (batting or running). From previous correspondence I think it is batting, but I would like to be sure. |

| Hit & Run from a management perspective applies to when the batter is at the plate, do you want to put the "hit & run" on. It's not dependent on who the actual runner is. Steve |
