Is there any correlation between the amount of Spring Training IP/AB and the rate of growth for the year? For example, if i got two batters, and batter A gets 75 At Bats and player B gets 25 At Bats during Spring Training, then the season starts, and they get their periodic "pops" throughout the year, will player A experience more pops that year the player B because of his greater number of AT Bats? Or does that not matter? Thank you

Spring training counts just like regular season in terms of experience (except minor leaguers can also play).

Playing time from one week only affects training for that week. There is no carry over affect or spring training PT bonus etc.

Its important to note that "pops" are just when we see a change. Players are constantly improving.

Let's assume Hitting skills goes from 0 - 2000 points. Your guy may be constantly gaining 5 points every week. When he goes from 1048 to 1053, his displayed skills changes from 10 to 11. Thus we say he "popped" to 11, but really his skill increased just as much as the previous week when he went from 1043 to 1048.

I'm wondering. Wouldn't it be best to play all of your minor leaguers and players under age 28 in spring training games. Why play a 28+ player in spring training because they can no longer improve?

Or does spring training games maybe give a boost to whether they are hot or cold? Other than that, is it even worth playing older players that can't im prove in spring training?

Does spring training do anything more than just the benefits of regular games?

Most people only play their developing players during spring training in this game. Only bots, lazy managers, or greivers play their starters. But in the end they all lose out on player experience.
