pettyj98 Joined: 11/26/2011 Posts: 17 Mesquite Mustangs VI.10 | I have replace for defense checked on one of my players, and twice in the last sim we had a lead of 1 or 2 runs and the manager left that player in the game. Do I have to do something else to get my defensive replacement player into the game? |

admin Joined: 01/27/2010 Posts: 4985 Administrator | Currently, defensive replacements are only brought in to games in the 8th inning or later when the team on defense is up by more than two runs. Perhaps people would like to bring in replacements in closer games too? There is a big argument among the sabermetric community about the value of bringing in defensive replacements, but it still seems to be pretty common place in MLB. Steve |
