I just want to make sure I'm evaluating this guy right.

Ramirez seems like a natural LF to me, is that correct?

Given his modest range, I would say 1B or DH but LF is probably OK. He's got bad range for CF and his arm is pretty weak for RF.

His arm strength is also pretty low for 3rd, SS, or catcher. His his lack of range pretty much takes him out at 2nd.

Rh throw, below average fielder: he doesn't fit as 1b either.
He's a DH, otherwise Release

He's obviously best suited to be a DH, but I think the question really is "where should he be trained?" The answer to that is definitely the outfield with left being the best spot to place him. He hurts you there a bit, but he won't embarrass himself or your team there like he would in the infield. You probably have time to train him partially at first, too, but he should only be used there in dire situations. He doesn't belong there under normal circumstances at all.

Nothing wrong with putting a righty at 1B. It isn't 100% optimal, but the penalty for a righty at 1B is so small, Steve doesn't even show a red x. I frequently use a right handed 1B against lefties. Also fielding isn't super important at 1B since they don't have a lot of real fielding opportunities (mostly just catching throws).

His build looks perfectly fine for LF/1B. I wouldn't mind him playing either of those positions. Might even put him in RF if I needed to get him into the lineup, but you get that for free if you train him in LF.

I would train at 1B and plan on him being a platoon player to bat against lefties.
He would also be on my "to cut" list for when i hit 50 players and think of who to cut.
