...How bad a low control pitcher can be. I just signed Connor Welsh. He has a great fastball, curveball, but "will always be wild". Let's see how he does. He can't be any worse than the rest of my prospects.

In my experience low control = low consistency. Those types of pitchers tend to have a lot of variation between years. Bigger issue with this guy is that he is also a lefty. Could still be a decent pitcher if he develops out right. I usually try to keep my control higher in the bullpen, so I might advise targeting a Starter or LR role for a guy like this; unless you totally dominates lefties. Then you could still go with an early inning LHR, but really I would be concerned about low control in any setup role.
