Cactusguy21 Joined: 07/25/2017 Posts: 815 Presque Isle Vikings III.4 | I want to use a six man rotation for spring training and maybe even the regular season, but I'm not sure how to do it. If I set it to 6-man rotation, does that mean my Spot Starter will be the SP6? Because there is no option for SP6. Also how do I turn an LHS into a lefty specialist? Edit: never mind figured specialist out. Still unsure about rotation though. Updated Friday, July 28 2017 @ 9:56:30 am PDT |

Today the sim completely ignored my SS, Trent McBride, and decided to start an unassigned 28-year-old Bob Brady as the sixth starter. Booooo. I don't think the theory of pitching the SS as the sixth pitcher works, at least by looking at this case. I would have preferred McBride pitch. Updated Monday, July 31 2017 @ 3:34:20 pm PDT The only thing I can think of is the system thought McBride already was more or less at the average SI for 13 POT and decided to throw Brady, who isn't (even though Brady hasn't gained an SI for three seasons). My purpose for wanting McBride: he's only been a reliever; I wanted to see some SP data. Updated Monday, July 31 2017 @ 3:36:53 pm PDT Updated Monday, July 31 2017 @ 3:37:58 pm PDT |

I suspect your SS didn't go in was because he was fatigued. The only time my SS didn't go in was due to fatigue. It looks like that could be your issue as well. |

Your SS pitches every other turn around the rotation in 4 1/5 man, and every turn in 6-man. Quick correction on the 4.5 man rotation. It's SP5, not SS, that gets used every second trip through the rotation: SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4 -> SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5 (repeat) SS only becomes a regular starter in the 6 man rotation, and is an injury fill in for 4, 4.5, and 5.
