I'm planning to move Masahito Matsuda to SS and call up Jeronimo Solano to play 2B vs RHPs. I'm wondering if I move Matsuda, will I ruin his chance to get a gold glove at 2B?

Probably.

Fielding attempts seems to be part of the criteria. Last season I thought my SS McCarty was a shoe-in for the gold glove. .990 F%. But he lost it to Manhattan's Dabrowski (.983 F%).

Dabrowski played 10 more games than McCarty, made twice as many errors and had 1 more DP. But he had 100 more fielding attempts, and that (I assume) tipped the scale.

Unless your lad is way ahead of the competition, I would guess having fewer plays made would cost him.

Just looked up all the 2B's in the league that have played 100+ games. Matsuda leads them all with the highest FP and the fewest amount of errors. Matsuda's tied with Garcia with 61 DP's. Garcia also has a .976 FP and 13 errors ,and has played 120 games. Matsuda has played the second least amount of games behind Inoue. Tosolini has played the most games.

I wonder if it'll come down to games played and DP's.
