admin Joined: 01/27/2010 Posts: 4985 Administrator | Training in Broken Bat is much different than many other online sport manager games, it’s not deterministic – in other words, 5 weeks of playing time doesn’t guarantee a skill pop. Basically, players have current skill values and potential skill values and as they get more training (mostly in the minor leagues) and major league experience (mostly from playing in the big leagues), they will move from their current skill value toward their potential. After playing for 2-4 seasons in the major leagues, a player will probably have maxed out his training & experience and hit his potential in all his skill levels. Later, as a player ages, he skills levels will begin to decline. Some skills, like speed or velocity tend to erode earlier than other skills. Hope this helps, Steve |
