amalric7 Joined: 01/20/2016 Posts: 2236 New York Lancers V.4 | Yes. The game awards are sometimes a little strange and no-one is quite sure (apart from Steve) how they're calculated. Ellis had a better batting average (and more hits) and a better fielding percentage than Velazquez, and all those extra HR and RBI Velazquez hit didn't figure in that head-to-head. They were obviously outstanding enough to get him the next-best place on the All-League team, which is at DH, but I can understand why you'd feel aggrieved. These guys are fine in LLVI, but neither is really good enough to play SS at any other level - Velazquez has a defensive build for the OF, Ellis for 1B. These guys would be liabilities in the field even in LLV (I would know). |
