Is his potential to be a decent hitter going to be affected by his speed being so much higher than his overall potential? Just hoping to get some input from people who may have a couple of seasons under there belt. | ||

So all of his other skills combined will max out between 78 and 85. For fielders each skill rating is worth 1 SI. For pitchers, defensive skills are worth 0.5, while pitching skills are worth 1.25 SI. |

If it's a SS lets say, and the skills of that SS are something like...... 7 Hitting -> Good hitter 4 BC 4 PD 7 Power -> Prolific Slugger 18 Speed -> Really Quick 5 Fielding -> Poor Fielder 14 Range 5 Arm Then you have somewhere between 32-37 SI to gain across the board. Range, Arm, & Speed tend to not be huge movers, and with Poor Fielding said player would not net a lot of gains before hitting the top end of poor fielding comments. So you would be expecting a distribution of 34 points through 4 spots, or roughly 8-10 gain on each hitting attribute. In this case, a reasonable expectation would be 14/12/12/17/18 6/14/5 (PS: the speed of training in certain attributes over others may not make BC/PD train equally, you can expect any variety of different outcomes there). |
