So I picked up this player off the waiver wire in May (brokenbat time) and here we are in July and he hasn't pitched at all since joining the team. Could there be an explanation for this or does RNG just hate Mr. Baldwin?

Even in the minor leagues, there is a selection process of who plays and pitches. I think he's just a little behind the curve in terms of development (so others are picked over him).

I will double check to make sure there is nothing wrong with his entry in the DB.

I don't even think he could be good enough. He's 21yo, SI 31, POT 12, a year gaining + or - 5, when he is 27 he will be + or - 67 SI.

Pitchers can gain 20+ SI a season when they first hit the majors. This guy's velocity is already 9. I think he could defintately be a decent pitcher.

Very good looking 12 pot, from memory game time in the minors doesn't effect how quickly they develop anyway?

I figured that there was some sort of system or selection process that decides who gets playing time in the minors. But in the span of two months wouldn't it seem logical that Baldwin got a couple of innings here and there?

Normally I would think yes. That's why I need to look into the situation.

Looks like he's getting a bit of work now.
