However, his range is massive. Should that be a concern for me? Am I right in assuming that the best pitcher will have massive pitching stats with low fielding stats? |

FurySK Joined: 02/07/2015 Posts: 299 Inactive | If you take an average increase of 1 fielding per seasons over 6 seasons of development (20-24 in the minors, 25-26 in the majors), then De Fazio hits 10-15-5 defense, which is weighted at 15 SI against his 14 potential. The average endpoint of a 14 potential is 116. 116-15 = 101, 101/1.25 = 80.8 SI that can be dedicated to the pitching ratings, which means if he was uniform across all pitching ratings he would be in the ballpark of 16 SI per rating. That'd be a pretty good pitcher to have on your team. The biggest concern is his small p, it looks like he cant decide on his career path. Really that range isn't too bad considering his super low arm strength. As an aside, I still haven't figured out why its ok for a fastball pitcher to have pathetic Arm Strength... |
