| In a 4 man rotation I still have a spot for a starter for the 5th spot. What will the pitcher in that position be used for? Will my Spot Starter still start for a injured starter in the first 4 starting spots? Am I going in the wrong direction in general as far as even using a 4 man rotation? just took over team with mainly 31 year and older pitchers, and feel like I only have 4 decent starters. | ||

| The spot starter (SS) is the pitcher that will start when the regular starting pitcher is injured or not listed. When not starting, he can pitch in relief. He generally needs the same skill set as a starting pitcher. |

| If you select 4-man rotation, you should leave the 5th starting pitcher spot empty. He will be used as an unassigned pitcher would be used. Steve |
