Looks mostly good. Missing "can be solid in the field"

I believe a "major league fastball" is better than "has some pop."

Anyone know what "major league slider" or "slider is exceptional" means? Is the same as curveball, or does it incorporate velocity in some way?

Wish there was a way to keep this post at the top.

Anyone want to take a shot at adding numbers to the descriptors?

Both sliders and curveballs are considered breaking ball pitches. The slider usually has a bit more velocity and breaks less.

So, I guess my question is since we only have certain categories for the hitting and pitching skills, are bat control, plate discipline and change of speeds the X factor that makes a team great?

Why are those skills not described or scouted?

There's also "he is really quick" and "his control is below average" scouting characteristics.

Some uncertainty / ambiguity makes player development much more interesting. IMO anyway. :)

Yeah, its so you can get busts. This guy for instance. I'm pretty sure he's going to be a bust with no plate discipline, but I won't know until he gets older.

Hehe. I would phrase that a wee bit different. It's so you don't know exactly what you've got. Even with 2 unknowns you can make fairly decent predictions (that can be refined with time).

Rogers looks beastly. Let me know if he doesn't meet your standards. I like my prolific sluggers dripping in bat control. :)
