Broken Bat Baseball
I was under suspicion that players automatically retire at age 35, yet just found out that one of my pitchers is now 36. Yet you can only find free agents up to 35. Just trying to understand how the retirements of player work so I can get my major league roster ready for upcoming season.

I think the guys older than 35 retire once they've been cut, but will play indefinitely if you keep him on your roster.

I was lucky enough to win 91 games last with with the following old pitchers.

1 at 38, 5 @ 37, 1 @ 36, 2 @ 35

Now I did have 2 young guns in my starting Rotation. And had a 13 game winner @ 37 years old.
