Does "speed" have any impact upon defense at all? I know it does in real life, but I mean, for the purpose of the game mechanics here? For example if I had two possible center fielders and both had the exact same values for fielding, range, and arm... but one had a speed of 3 and the other a speed of 19, would the latter one be better at chasing down fly balls or be quicker to run down balls in the gap? Or is that purely determined by range and nothing more?

Similarly, for pitchers, does a pitcher's value for "arm" have any impact at all on his pitching ability, or does it only affect his ability to throw to first base when making plays in the field?

For defense, I would focus mostly on range when concerned about how much ground a outfielder covers defensively.
