He pitched in the big leagues last year as well but I sent him down when I acquired the team b/c of bad stats and he wasn't as close to his potential. My main question is that the recommended level is AAA for him still and on his player page it says "He seems a little overmatched at this level of competition." How much will this affect him and would it really make sense to put him back in the minors when he is essentially at his potential? |

I have a player in a similar situation, Enrique Moreno. http://brokenbat.org/player/63602 Moreno's recommended level is still AAA but has been improving his skills regularly while in the majors and pitching pretty well too. The recommended level is the level at which your player will improve the fastest. By bringing him to majors early it probably means that he will reach his peak slightly later but its not going to change much for a player who is almost at his peak already. I don't think there is any harm in it. Curtis P |

Whether Fernandez is one of those players is hard to say. Looks like his ERA has been above 5.00, so he’s survived in the big leagues, but hardly thrived. Am I hurting his overall potential by bringing him up too soon. Alvin bryant http://brokenbat.org/player/75145 It says he should be in aaa but hes been my best ptcher since the call up. Check him out for me please. Would really appreciate te feedback |

Randy Bobandy Joined: 05/23/2013 Posts: 40 Inactive | I have a similar guy here in Powell - http://brokenbat.org/player/74378 Same age, slightly better SI, says he should be in AAA but I have him up and hes doing fine. His ERA is a full run higher but he's also pitched more than double the innings Bryant has. He seems to be getting a solid amount of training points by having him up so where Bryant isn't blowing games for you left right and center I would keep him up. |
