I wasn't sure if my starting P (Knight) would be healthy for game 5 yesterday. I hoped my spot starter (Horn) would start in his place if not.

Horn had been pressed into action pitching 1.2 IP in game 1. Because of "light" fatigue the match engine chose to start LR2 Santa Cruz instead. He had pitched in both game 1 and game 3.

I appreciate its a bit tricky who to pick. If the human manager designates a spot starter that should be the priority even if he has a little fatigue.

I'm quite happy if the SS is skipped on moderate or more fatigue.

What did you have his management setting at? I think other people reported issues with the LR coming in over the SS in the past... Are you sure it was a fatigue issue?

But +1, I'd rather see a tired SS starting then a LR.

All my pitchers are set at ++.

Starters require heavy fatigue before they get skipped. Spot starters are intended to replace starters and should, imo, be given moderate before the LRs are called in.

Given ++ is supposed to pitch them with moderate fatigue, I think this is a bug. I remember a few other people reporting similar issues with LR coming in instead of SS.

One of the problems with allowing fatigued pitchers is people start abusing it and clear out their rotation and go with a 2-3 man starting rotation.
