This would be interesting. It would probably lead a lot of teams to make really bad personnel decisions. Trying to maximize a meaningless power rating over having truly effective players on their squads.

We could probably do this...it might be a little more difficult because position are less inter-changeable in Broken Bat. So having a high power index might be less telling if you don't have middle infielders or starting pitching.

Would it be meaningless and lead to teams making foolish choices? Maybe. I'm not sure it has in Hardwood...

I've seen people post that they make cut decisions based on Prospect Rating. I would argue that Prospect Rating is fairly meaningless and leading some people to make bad decisions. I could see the same with a power ranking.

However, I am not arguing against a power rating. While I think Prospect Rating is somewhat meaningless, I still think its fun. If people choose to make personnel decisions based on hype... It just means they are the Jets :p Happens in real life too ;)
