To my knowledge I have never had a player come in for defensive purposes in the ninth. At least not in a non-spring game. I've had middle infielders with 11- fielding with 17+ sitting on the bench. Now I have 10/12 and 13/10 guys roaming the outfield at times with 19/17 riding pine. I'd prefer an entire page of settings for defense, but understand that would probably require massive amounts of time. Alternatively, a simple X to ++ option could actually make defensive subs relevant. |

Then there ate examples like today when the game decides to use a pinch hitter and then keeps them in the game out of position where they give up game losing unearned runs while perfectly capable defensive players ride the bench. Please help. |
