1) How about adding the top 5 or top 10 team BA and ERA to the league leaders page?

2) What about adding current streak and last 10 record to the standings page?

3) Infielders have a category for double plays that they have been involved in, but how can I compute the total my team has turned? And outfielders can be involved in double plays but there is no category for them.

1. I like this idea. The drawback right now is that the league leader page is really slow loading because the computation for those tables is done dynamically. To a similar extent, if I added some league leaders to the league page, it would suffer as well. So it will require a little bit of restructuring before it becomes practical.

2. I have considered adding either streak or record over the last 10 game. Which do you think is better? I'm partial to the later. It would take a little work, but is quite doable.

3. I could add double plays to the statistics page and totals. Right now the statistics width is starting to outgrow the page – I need to adjust the font size. Have also considered adding DPs to the box score.

In terms of the outfielder double plays, it's not possible with the current game engine (a is a rare event in real baseball). However, there are outfield assists, which are essentially runners thrown out from the outfield.

I would choose last 10 for an additional column to the standings.

Thanks for the explanations as to why some of these ideas are difficult to implement. The DP statistic is not that important. I was just trying to think of ideas to help gauge a team's defensive prowess.

If you are going to add anything more to the individual statistics I would suggest fielding percentage, and then perhaps we could see some gold glove awards.

also maybe adding runs for and runs against...so that you can get a general idea of where your defense or offense rank amongst the league and you have a better idea of what you need to address in order to stay competitive...

In your team history and also on your team page, there are runs for (RF) and run against (RA) statistics listed. The statistics page has mostly individual player statistics and the team totals.

but you are unable to compare with the other teams in your current league...

i think that comparison would be good to see what you are lacking in...if your RA are on par but your RF are way behind...then you know it's time to get an offensively gifted hitter into your lineup...where if you RF are at the top of the league...and yet your RA are way behind...

it's time to get a stronger fielder or pitcher...it's the ability to compare that would allow you to make that decision...
