| In a Basketball Sim [url] I'm playing, a few season ago the All Star Game was introduced. Along with it, in the week preceding the game we also have the AllStar Ballot. A fake one, I mean. It's an algorithm, mimicking the fans' vote (based on season stats) Given how much comments the ASG elicits in BrokenBat forums, it may be a nice addition here as well. It would involve to run the same algorithm used for choosing the players every day (real life) for a week or two prior the ASG, and translating the results into Fan Votes. A twist: a random elkmement, to allow for last minute surprises Another twist: players from successful teams (by Fan Mood) might get a boost in Fan Votes, as it happened with the 2015 Royals. Eventually, the starting lineup would be the result of Fan Voting, and replacements chosen purely on statistical merits. Updated Sunday, July 26 2015 @ 8:43:23 am PDT |
