While I like that and things like BABIP, they are not in the casual fan's lexicon. The bigger issue, I think, is that too much info/stats makes it a challenge to fit on a page.

I’m a big fan of Sabermetrics and Moneyball and there are a lot of great new metrics they’ve come out with. Some I think a useful and some maybe not so useful. In general we’ve tried to limit the statistics to the ones in common use.

We’ve done this for two reasons:

1. Computation complexity of some of the newer statistics (especially those that require a league-wide calculation to normalize the value for every individual) can be are high.

2. Don’t want to imply more depth exists in the simulation than there is. For example, day/night statistical splits would somehow imply that that’s taken into account in the simulation when it’s not.
