currently pitchers are treated like batters. their values are copied if they are moved into a new position. this does not make any sense, particularly if pitchers are moving from SP to RP or back. even for RP this makes no sense. the CL will always be defined for later innings, not the innings the pitcher currently has

one way to fix this is to gray out the pitcher name. this would indicate that the pitcher roles are what is being updated, not the pitchers themselves

actually the values from the new pitching roles could be copied to the pitchers if that makes this change easier

I guess this is a question more of how management of pitchers should work. Some people think the control should be by pitcher while others expect it to be by pitching role. Have not found a method that accomplishes both.

or there could be two management profiles, per pitcher, one for SP and one for RP. that way as they are moved back and forth the correct profile shows up

I may be in the definite minority switching pitchers back and forth. but some sort of warning should be given to all managers that RP has been moved into a SP role (ie stamina of the SP is below a specified threshold)

switching RP to SP would not be a problem if BB adopted a model used by some other bb sim games, namely that stamina is not a "skill" but is strictly determined by use. hence any RP can become a SP if they are used that way long enough (ie their stamina skill improves not based upon training but upon use)

similarly if a SP continues to be used as a RP their stamina starts to decrease

I'll have to consider the suggestion about stamina adjustments over time based on pitching roles.

In terms of separate settings for players as SP versus RP. How often do you switch players between the two? Seems like most teams are going to lock in their rotation and not change it very often, no?
