admin Joined: 01/27/2010 Posts: 4985 Administrator	Mostly because it simplifies the game and coding. Same with the DH. I'm not sure allowing pitchers to develop into position players is common or particularly important to this kind of simulation (although it's cool in RL). Steve

dwindacatcher Joined: 04/03/2014 Posts: 633 Inactive	minor leaguers change to and from pitchers semi commonly irl, but that would be a nightmare to code. you would hvae to have pitching stats and hitting stats for every player in the game. however, with that said, it would be cool to have a "convert to pitcher" and "convert to NP" button that takes say 1-2 weeks real time. that way when you get a bad OF prospect pull, but maybe he has a 18 arm. you roll the dice on him having decent pitching stats. and vise versa. And I'd say, for codings sake, they can only be converted once.
